Position Summary

The Refinish Quality Control Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the excellence and craftsmanship that define Sea Fox boats. This position is responsible for conducting detailed quality inspections of laminated fiberglass components before they move to the next stage of production.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections on laminated fiberglass parts including:
  • Hulls
  • Decks
  • Lids
  • Consoles
  • Seating pods
  • Doors
  • Hardtops
• Inspect all fiberglass components for:
  • Surface finish quality
  • Structural integrity
  • Imperfections or defects
  • Compliance with build standards
• Verify all required work is completed before parts are released to the next department
• Accurately document imperfections and completed work in the Quality Control Packet
• Clearly communicate quality issues, progress updates, and holds to department supervisors and management

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to lift, stand, kneel, bend, and climb in and out of boats
• Capable of performing physical tasks for up to 10 hours per day
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment

Qualifications

• Some refinish and/or marine experience preferred
• Ability to work occasional weekends and minimal overtime
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Excellent communication skills
