Moriches Bay Marine is a premier full-service marina located in beautiful Mastic Beach on Moriches Bay. We provide dockage, boat storage, hauling, repairs, and complete marine services in a thriving marina community. We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Mechanic to join our team.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Lead Mechanic to lead our service department. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of boats and marine equipment in a fast-paced marina environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the service team
• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on outboard and inboard engines (experience with Yamaha, Honda, Mercury, and other major brands preferred)
• Rigging and installation of new outboard motors
• General boat repairs and troubleshooting
• Haul-out and launch support
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Provide excellent customer service

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Marine Mechanic (Lead or Senior level preferred)
• Strong knowledge of outboard and sterndrive systems
• Ability to work independently and lead a small team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
